Jorō is an experimental horror game that tells the story of a man trying to find closure from the sins of his past. It is a fairly short game that was made in a period of 3 weeks and is based on the Yokai mythology. [Seizure Warning] There are flashing lights. Have fun playing it and if you like the idea, leave a comment and a rating.

Some complaints:
-Background sound is WAY TOO LOUD
-The seizure inducing flashing lights are a bit much
-The stair controls are a mess. I saw some other playthroughs below having the same issue, it feels like an elevator system or some other traversal mechanic other than holding down arrow keys in a wasd game would be more beneficial
-Some of the dialogue alpha settings seemed too low. The subtitles were occasionally too low
An interesting game premise nonetheless, I had some fun in it :)

Sorry about the issues in the game, I will add a seizure warning and fix the controls in the future updates. Glad you tried out my game!
hello, I downloaded this game but don't understand how to use the stairs, I just get stuck there, its not letting me either go up or down the stairs, can you tell me if there's something Im missing
Edit: I tried what you told me and it worked, thanks for the reply and it was a short and sweet game, I liked it, Good Work :)
Try holding up/down arrow while using the stairs. You'll fall straight down if you hold down arrow and pressing up arrow will let you pass through the stairs if you are below one. I hope that helps. :)
thanks :)
